LIFELINES PRESS
A printing house of rare quality
Rebecca de Saintonge is the co-founder of LifeLines Press,
a unique printing house that specializes in producing short print
runs of memoirs, poetry, letters and family histories.
As manager of The Literary Consultancy in London she and fellow writer Alan Wilkinson became aware that many wonderful family stories were not getting into print because they didn’t meet the needs of the commercial market place but deserved more than to be shoved in a drawer somewhere and forgotten about.
Together they set up LifeLines Press to turn these family stories into books of exceptional quality, to be preserved and enjoyed as family heirlooms.
There are many companies producing short run editions but what makes LifeLines different from all of them is the sheer quality of the books themselves. Every book is individually designed and truly unique. Only the highest quality of materials and craftsmen are used. All editions are printed on archive paper and all the hardbacks are hand stitched and bound. These are proper books that will look lovely in the bookshelf 100 years from now.
LifeLines also offer a wide range of editorial help.
One client, Michael Brown, wrote of LifeLines Press:
“It’s rare to meet integrity, professionalism and friendly service all between the same covers.”
